Dedupe Street Address To Prevent Coupon/New Offer Violation

Hi Everyone,

We run shopify plus and operate in several markets as an online grocery delivery platform.

A big part of our customer acqustion strategy is running grocery offers like you see in-store (2 for $5, pick 3 for $2.99, ect). Under our terms and conditions of these offers they are for new customers only and limited to one per household.

Recently we’ve seen a big uptick in abusive orders - people creating multiple email accounts with the same address so that they can reptitively utilize the new offers. After the abuse we add a fraud filter on their address to prevent future orders but that is only effective after the damange.

In Shopify we can limit offers to one per customer, number of times, ect. However, does anyone know of a way to validate the address and limit offer or coupon usage to an address?

In advance thanks so much for any thoughts … been a big headache :slightly_smiling_face:

Really hoping someone might be able to share a band-aid or work around for this. Preventing household/address coupon abuse - i.e. address where a person has multiple accounts.
