I think you can use URL redirects to prevent old links from breaking
Pls log in your shopify admin and navigate to Online Store - Navigation - Click on View URL redirects on top right of page - Add your url redirect map here

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I would like to redirect but I do not seem to find a way of how to do redirects to all the links on google. For this, first I need to know all the links on google and I am afraid I do not know how to find that out :-((
