Our store has a single retail location, where most customers pick up their orders. We also have two alternative pick-up options (one-day events) which we list as separate locations. (We keep inventory at the main location, and have it set to transfer to the alternative locations.)
My problem is that our check-out and product pages both default to the closest location to the customer. I would like them to default to displaying our main retail location (since the alternative locations are one-day events). Is there a way to set this up, whether natively, through an app, or through a partner? Thanks!
Why don’t you just deactivate the locations that you aren’t using?
Then activate when event is near, or when you want that location to show up.
Even when the other locations are active, most customers prefer to use the main location because they can come by anytime during business hours. I’m interested in whether we can change the way the locations are sorted at checkout, with our main location as a default.
Not for checkout, unless you’re on Plus. The only thing you could do is rename them to try to force a visual check (April 12th ONLY). For product page, sure. Javascript could rearrange them no problem.
Thanks - that’s too bad. Last year, all locations were at least visible on the checkout page, but now they are hidden behind the drop down, so we are seeing a lot more errors.
