DELETE DISCONTINUED PRODUCTS AUTOMATICALLY

Topic summary

A user is seeking a method to automatically remove, archive, or hide products that have been discontinued by suppliers and no longer appear in their product feeds.

Current Issue:

  • Products previously showed as in-stock but weren’t actually updated when removed from the supplier feed
  • This has caused inventory accuracy problems in the past

Suggested Solution:

  • Contact the support team of the specific app being used to sync supplier inventory with the Shopify store
  • This functionality would need to be handled at the app/integration level rather than being a native platform feature

Hi, I would like to know if there is a way to delete/archive/hide products which are no longer in a suppliers feed as they have discontinued them. I have been caught out before where are product is showing in stock but in actual fact was not updated because it was no longer in the feed.

Thanks

That would be something you’d have to request to the support team of whichever app you’re using to sync the inventory of your suppliers with the Shopify store.
