As the title says, I’m looking for an app that we can use to set up a specific delivery method/surcharge based upon a customers UK postcode?
We only sell to the UK and specific areas such as Scottish Highlands & Northern Ireland cost us more to send via courier.
I wish to set up 3 delivery methods
Express delivery - £5.99 - UK Mainland only
Economy delivery - Free (if order value >£100) - UK Mainland only
Economy delivery - £12 (regardless of order value) - Northern Ireland/Scottish Highlands
Has anyone come across this before, and if so do you have any recommendations for apps please?
I’ve tried about 5 different ones so far and cannot configure any to be how I desire. Migrating from Woocommerce to Shopify and this feature is very lacking.
You have the option to establish separate zones for the UK Mainland and Northern Ireland. Additionally, offering free shipping for orders exceeding £100 is feasible.
However, a challenge arises with the “Scottish Highlands” since, within Shopify’s zone configuration, you can only define regions that do not include the “Scottish Highlands.”
An alternative approach is to seek an app that supports postal codes and enables rate configuration based on these codes, although this can be somewhat cumbersome.
Alternatively, you can explore Carrier Calculated rates, which provide precise shipping costs for all regions without the need for you to define each one individually.
