After clicking on shop now from facebook ad, User views the website in desktop mode as default. not mobile view. how on earth will some layman will even know about that?

Try to Use a Mobile-Specific Link: Consider adding a “?view=mobile” parameter to the URL in the ad, which can help trigger the mobile layout directly:
https://yourstorename.com/?view=mobile
This URL tweak may force Shopify to serve the mobile view.
