I want to reduce the overall width of my website for the desktop view only. Currently on large Screens, the website is too much stretched and images then look gigantic. What code is required and where to put it?

the shop is not online yet. I prefer to keep it secretive at the moment. I could provide e.g. corresponding theme.css etc. Is it possible this way?

you can share the store front url with the password, it will help me to access an inactive store.
