Different color options for different products

Topic summary

A user is struggling to display different shades of the same color (e.g., “Light Blue” vs “Dark Blue”) as distinct color swatches across different products in their Turbo theme store. Currently, only theme-default color variants display properly, while custom metafields show as white circles instead of the intended colors.

Proposed Solutions:

  • One responder suggested using the Easify Product Options app, which allows creating fully custom color swatches with unique names and shades per product without coding. Screenshots demonstrated “light blue” and “dark blue” variants working independently.
  • Another responder confirmed the Turbo theme natively supports color swatches and provided a documentation link.

Remaining Challenge:
The original poster tested Easify but found it incompatible with bundler apps needed for volume discounts and inventory tracking. They expressed frustration given the theme’s cost and the prevalence of this feature on other Shopify stores.

Status: The issue remains unresolved, with the user seeking a solution that works with both custom color variants and third-party discount/inventory apps.

Hi,
I have different types of products that might all be say ‘blue’ but be completely different shades of blue. Is there any way to get the metafields to work for this so that one product could show ‘Light Blue’ and another say ‘Dark Blue’. At the moment I only seem to be able to show Blue and be able to change the shade of that one. If I add in additional custom metafields with different shades and names, these then dont display as any colour in the product at all, just a white circle.
I’m using the Turbo theme.

Thanks
Kelly

Hi @KellyN1 ,

This one needs to access your store to check. This theme is not free. We can’t cover their code. Could you let us access your store to check?

Hi @KellyN1 ,

Please send the website link, I will check it for you

Hi @KellyN1

If you want to show different shades like “Light Blue” or “Dark Blue” as color swatches for different products with an app, I recommend using Easify Product Options. You can create fully custom color swatches with unique names and shades for each product — no coding needed, and it works independently of your theme! Here’s how it works:

  • This is the “light blue” product

  • This is the “dark blue” product:

I hope this answer helps solve the problem. If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out to Easify anytime! :hugs:

ohhh THANKYOU, I think that’s what I’m needing!! I’ve been finding anything else trying to do this just so confusing! Thanks so much, really appreciate it and I’ll give it a go tomorrow!

I have setup new color variants with the new colour names and linking them to different # colors, however only the standard already created ones that came with the theme show up and some of the colours don’t show up at all.
This is REALLY limiting. I’ve tried using Easify app to do it, but then any that I setup using that, I can’t then use other bundler apps with on the product to create volume discounts that also keep track of inventory.
It’s all really frustrating, yet I see so many other shopify sites out there who seem to have different color variants working.
This is a Turbo theme, I just paid a lot of money for it.

Hi @KellyN1 ,

I checked and the current theme supports this, you can refer to the following link
