Hello!
Trying to get rid of the combined shipping rate in the checkout. Read an old post here back in 2020, who seemed to face the same problem I do today. After reading the extensive comments from people who have had the same problem in 2020–2021, I now wonder if there is any valid solution to this? I mean, it should, right?
Since I have the same problem, I repost their question here again, hoping for someone to bring forward a solution.
I have multiple shipping profiles in my store. When an order contains products from different profiles, the separate shipping rates for each product are added together. This is not desired.
How do I disable the add up? How do I achieve this, please?
Here’s how it functions: If you have multiple shipping profiles, the rates will be consolidated. This applies even when using an app, as rates associated with various profiles will be aggregated.
I recommend creating a single shipping profile and using weight slabs or order value to determine the costs.
Additionally, think about implementing Carrier Calculated Rates at checkout. This way, you won’t need to specify rates for different types of products; the actual shipping rates will be automatically calculated based on the package weight.
Unfortunately no. In 2023 also it is not possible to stop combining shipping rates at checkout. Third part applications like ShipMagic can handle these situation, but yeah it is an added cost.
We have the same issue and it is really frustrating that we have to pay $9-10 per month for a 3rd party app to solve something that should be handled by Shopify. Shopify is the premium app and should cater for things like this. We tried setting up two profiles but Shopify automatically removes products from one profile if they are added to two separate profiles. This is also terrible behaviour. If this was allowed it would resolve the issue. Please Shopify sort this out.
Hi, Just wondering if there is a work around on this yet? or is there an app that can assist. I have multiple shipping profiles and if someone is purchasing several items on my website from several different shipping profiles I want the shipping profile with the highest rates to show so that the customer can choose from those rates and not combine the other rates from the less expensive shipping profiles. does that make sense and is this possible?
