Disappeared Blogs - Have I Done Something Dumb?!

Topic summary

A user accidentally made their blog posts inaccessible while working on menu structure modifications. The blogs previously existed at URLs like snowdoniahoney.com/blogs/news/BLOG_NAME but now return 404 errors.

Current situation:

  • Blog posts appear missing from the Shopify admin (Content | Blogs shows empty)
  • User confirms they didn’t intentionally delete any blogs
  • A two-week-old backup exists

Proposed solution:

  • One respondent suggests the blog posts were accidentally deleted and cannot be recovered from a theme backup, as blog content exists separately from themes
  • Recommendation is to manually recreate the posts

Status: The issue remains unresolved with no clear recovery method identified beyond manual recreation of content.

I’m hoping that someone in the community can give me pointers as to how I fix a problem I think I’ve created for myself?

I definitely haven’t deleted any blogs but was doing some work on the menu structure and they now seem to not be accessible. They URL structure I had for my blogs was https://snowdoniahoney.com/blogs/news/BLOG_NAME but now get a 404 page from the links and in Shopify when I click Content | Blogs, I get this screen:-

I do have a backup copy of my website (phew!) that I made two weeks ago so presumably could access and then copy and paste the blogs back into the live website from there but I was wondering if there was something in settings or preferences that I’m missing or have changed that would do it easily for me?

Thanks so much in advance of anybody taking the time to reply, I really appreciate it.

Hey most probably that you delete the all blog post accidentally. Because I can see there is no Blog post.

And regarding the Duplicate of the theme cannot contain the same blog post. Because these blog posts work all arround the theme. So easy solution is that you have to write it again.
