I’ve been paying $25 a month for my shopify store which hasn’t gone live in over 18 months due to a few personal problems.
I decided to speak to shopify customer services to ask if payments can be paused while I continue to work on it and was told that it is not possible but I can pay a reduced amount of $9 a month while I build it. I think they said it was called something like “pause and build” or something like that. So I said that would be great.
then I asked if I could be refunded the amount that I’ve overpaid all these months and she said she would check into it for me. I finally got a reply today which said that due to terms of service section 5.10 my account can not be refunded or credited.
my question is.. when I signed up to shopify where is the option to say you can pause as you build?? I’m sure that wasn’t there when I signed up or I would have gone for it rather than wasting all my money.
I did get $75 credited to my account as a goodwill gesture but what about the rest of my money.
has anyone else had this problem and did you get a refund?
