Discount code bug preventing users from checking out!

We’ve run into a discount code bug currently being looked into by Shopify. Discount codes work perfectly fine if applied at the checkout card details page, but if applied in the initial pages before that (e.g. address), will not let the user proceed.

I’m sharing here in-case anyone is facing the same problem, or if they have a solution!

Some base information about the store

  • Using local delivery

  • Free shipping code over $99 spend, no limitations on anything

  • Working perfectly find 24 hours ago

I am having issues with checkout as well. But after they delete the coupon code it still won’t allow checkout. Getting super frustrated because support is no help and could care less

I am sorry, I am going through the same issue, I will try to take it out the discount code and see what happens, I have lost several sales due to that customers cannot check out either, and of course I am getting gray hair and old; waiting for customer support to fix it. Well, I deleted the Discount apps, all I could find and refresh the page, make the purchase an still not working well, I don’t know what is going on??

They sent me an email saying that they did sent me a message three weeks ago, but I could not find anything not even in the spam mail, several agents from customer service had checked on this issue the past five days and still no getting anything fixed, I have spent a lot of money in ads and I could see people adding to carts and abandoning and see why now, they cannot purchase anything with credit cards, only with Pay Pal, not all the people has Pay-pal. I am so disappointed at this platform, I guess they are making good money they don’t care anymore for their clients… I don’t know, I am reading a lots of customers complains from this site I wish I had read them before I invested my time and money in this project. Let me know if you get in touch with anybody, now the chatting is not working on my side, I cannot get a hold of nobody.

I’ve been in contact with Shopify support over the past few days. This is the current response:

"You are right, this is specifically an issue with Local Delivery and is happening on multiple stores.

Our developers are aware and will be pushing a fix for it shortly. It should be coming in the next few days. As soon as it does happen or if I have more information I will be sure to reach out to you."

Is everyone still having issues? My customers are unable to checkout on mobile with discount codes and it is preventing a lot of orders. Thanks

I am having the same issue. Started this past weekend and support has been no help! When using discount code and customer hits pay now the screen refreshes and does not process. Very frustrated.
