A common sale we run in our physical stores, is 20% OFF any one regular priced item of the customer’s choice. Currently we are manually applying the discount to an item in the cart. We just launched our online store and I’m looking for a way to implement this same sell online.
Does anyone have any recommendations?

I understand you are looking for the ability to have your customers choose the product they want to receive a discount on. Unfortunately, that isn’t currently an option natively within Shopify. This means you will need an app.
While I can’t guarantee it has this functionality, Discount Ninja is the most robust discount app in the Shopify App Store. Thus, it has the best chance of providing this feature.
