I’m having a small issue.
Let’s say I offer free shipping for orders worth more than 100$ and I have a coupon code which gives the customer $5 discount.
My problem is that if the customer adds the 100$ item to their cart, they have free shipping. But when they apply the discount code for 5$ off, it goes the 100$ limit I have set for free shipping and it then charges the customer my regular shipping rate.
Is there any way to make the free shipping be based on order price before discount?
There isn’t any way, because its depend on shopify automation.
Free shipping is depend on the total amount, if total amount is less than $100 the free shipping will not be applicable.
I have somewhat opposite problem: I offer -15% discount for newsletter subscribers and my free shipping trigger is set to 100€. So this is the problem:
customer adds products valued 100€ or more to the cart
free shipping trigger is activated
customer adds -15% discount, total drops to 85€
but since the subtotal is 100€, customer gets free shipping…
Why on earth I cannot choose which price the trigger gets it’s info from; total or subtotal? I don’t want to give BOTH discounts (-15% and free shipping). I would accept free shipping with that -15% discount code if the FINAL TOTAL what customer is paying goes 100€ or more…
