We need a way to allow our customers to place a single order and ship to multiple addresses while using a fixed amount discount code. We’ve been using the Giftship app for the past 3 years. It used to work perfectly, but recent changes made by the developer won’t allow a discount to be applied to the parent (original) order. It’s applied to child orders instead. For example, if a customer places an order for 2 items with each one shipping to a different address, the quantity discount code for 2 items won’t work, since the child orders contain only one item each. We have a tiered discount structure (the more items a customer purchases, the larger the discount), so we can’t depend on a single percentage off code. This is a serious problem for us, because our business relies heavily on gift orders and volume discounts to maintain sales. We contacted Gist support but were told it isn’t possible to apply the discount to the parent order. Strange, since it used to work that way. Does anyone know of an alternative to Giftship or a way to modify it to fit our needs?
