Discount issues for welcome % versus product multiples

Hi there,

I am slightly tearing my hair out as I have a welcome discount set up for all who sign up to my email list. This is for 15% off at checkout. The code works on all collections, but then not in conjunction with another discount for e.g. 4+ christmas cards. The deal I want is that people can have a one off 15% off in addition to the 4+. According to the settings in the discounts it should work that both discounts are compatible. Can anyone help? I just can’t see how to allow them both at once. I thought you could have order discount set up on the main welcome one, and then perhaps product discount on the quantity criteria. I have tried it with both or one selected - nothing works. The quantity discount overrides, as I guess it is the greater. Help! Thank you.

Not all discount combinations work. Check https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/discounts/discount-combinations – there is a table of supported combinations.

Make the 4+ cards deal an automatic product discount (not another code) and turn on “Combine with order discounts” for both, that’s the only setup Shopify will stack cleanly.
Had to rebuild a similar bundle for a client and it fixed the clash instantly.
