Discrapency between Landing Page views and Actual Visits

Hey everyone, we’re facing an issue with traffic discrepancies, and support hasn’t been able to help.

According to Facebook data, we’re getting:

  • 26.5k link clicks
  • 18.2k landing page views
  • But only 13k people actually accessing the site, which is just 50% of the original clicks. While part of this could be due to site speed, here’s where it gets confusing.

We have a German (DE) store using the exact same theme, and the discrepancy there is only about 10% (800 clicks, 715 landing page views, and 715 store visits) using the same tools.

We’ve tested for bots, page speed, and everything else we could think of, but the problem persists.

The only major difference I’ve noticed is the ping—Germany is around 100+ms, while the UK is much higher at 500-600ms. This makes me think it could be a server issue.

Any ideas or suggestions would be really appreciated!

You can focus on key areas - tracking implementation, server performance, page speed, and potential network issues.

Tracking is implemented this is how we found the issue, page speed is currently being optimised but how do I look for network issues? any ideas on that front? and Server is provided by shopify I don’t think we can do anything there
