Display Compare At price on Impulse Theme Cart Drawer

I’m trying to display the compare at price on the impulse theme cart drawer through liquid, however none of the price variables seem to hold the compare at price. it works perfectly fine on the product page but.

I’ve already tried displaying the compare at price through these variables and every other price variable from the shopify cheat sheet and none of them output the compare at price saved in the product -

<p>{{ product.compare_at_price_max | money }}</p>
<p>{{ product.compare_at_price_min | money }}</p>
<p>{{ product.compare_at_price_varies }}</p>
<p>{{ item.original_price | money }}</p>
<p>{{ item.varient.compare_at_price | money }}</p>

furthermore, I’ve also tried creating a metafield and assigned it a value and displaying it, however that doesn’t work either.

Requesting your help on this issue.
