We have been using Shipworks to ship our orders and it has a handy feature that allows me to see and search for order by the day they shipped. It has been extremely helpful in our operation. Shopify has lower rates so we are starting to ship with Shopify. So I am wondering if there is a way to display the “date an order was shipped” or “the date a label was printed” would work in the order dashboard. At the end of the day when I have to update our accounting software it would be very handy to see this for all orders.
If you want to see it on the Orders page, adding it as a tag would probably be best.
If you want it to show on the Order Details page only, I would add it in the order notes, timeline, or tags area would work.
If you’re wanting to automate that, you would need whatever is controlling the order to update tracking (person, fulfillment service, app) to add the tag / note, etc to the order when they mark it fulfilled.
If you are purchasing your labels within the Shopify Admin, the purchase will be added to the Order Timeline at the very bottom of the order page. Additionally, once you mark the order as fulfilled this will be listed as well! Are you needing to have this automatically sent to your accounting software? Or as long as its accessible for specific orders in the future does that suffice?
