Displaying 3rd party shipping rates to customers at checkout?

Is there an easy way to do this?

I have my API token from my third party shipper and upgraded plan to allow carrier rates.

Great question. You are able to display these rates at checkout by enabling third-party carrier-calculated shipping rates. If you have your own account with a shipping carrier, then you can display your negotiated shipping rates from that carrier to customers at checkout by adding this feature. There are three options for adding third-party carrier-calculated shipping rates:

  • Changing your Shopify billing cycle from being charged monthly to annually (which also saves you 10% on your Shopify subscription cost!)
  • Add carrier-calculated shipping to your current Shopify subscription for an extra $20/month
  • Upgrading to our Advanced Shopify plan

Once you choose which option is best for you, you can get in touch with our live Support team through the Help Center and they will ensure this feature is added to your account. Make sure the account owner is the one getting in touch, as only account owners can make changes to your Shopify subscription.

With carrier-calculated shipping enabled and without using an app, the following carriers can be connected within Shopify depending on your shipping location:

  • In the USA, you can connect your UPS, USPS, and/or FedEx account
  • In Canada, you can connect your UPS, FedEx, and/or Canada Post account

To display rates for any other carrier account will require the use of a third party app. You can find all our shipping rate apps here.

Thanks for getting in touch. You can absolutely display multiple rates at checkout, and if you want to have more control over your shipping options, you can use a shipping rates app.
