Displaying metafield definitions based on scope in the Shopify admin

Hello,

I was curious if there is a way to only display certain custom fields based on the blog article template for example? As it currently stands if I’m editing an EVENT blog post that uses a custom template I see fields that should only pertain to the EXHIBITION blog post.

In the screen grabs below I’m editing an EVENT blog post. You see that there are 37 metafield definitions available. Technically for EVENTs, there should only be about half. This gets pretty messy the more fields you add.

Are there best practices that I might not know about?

Hi @Boba ,

This is not possible, when you create Metafields, it will default to all blogs, you cannot edit each blog.

You can manually combine Metafields fields with the same type into 1 field, it will make things clearer.

E.g. Event slider three and Exhibition slider three into one field slider three.

Hope it helps!

I figured. My question was inspired by the functionality that the Accentuate Custom Fields app provides. It most certainly would make editing field values from an admin interface standpoint a lot cleaner.
