Hi, I just launched my free application and to my surprise, I realized that there’s zero promotion for new apps from Shopify’s side. Other app marketplaces offer some type of support for developers who invest their time building for the platform -especially for free products and especially for ones that add value to the merchands!
It’s been a couple of weeks since my app went live, and I’m seeing zero installs. I’m convinced this isn’t due to lack of added value from the app’s side, but rather the lack of any framework for discovery and support. When I tried reaching out to people in posts who were specifically asking for an app like mine, I even got banned!
I’m totally disappointed with the whole experience.
