What steps can someone with a shopify store take to increase sales ? This is the fundamental reason anyone opens a shopify store for. I would be intersted to know the most basic steps you (as professionals in this field) implement to give you the most ‘bang for your buck’.
I would genuinely be interested in your consultancy as offered on your webpage, but my shop doesn’t make 99 Euros a month. So my main concern is to know if an investment in your expertise will result in sales growth.
Kind regards
Neil
Hello Neil,
There are many ways to increase sales. The first step is to analyse the shop and look at measures that have already been implemented. We also look at data such as HEatmaps from Hotjar or Clarity to identify the bottleneck.
For someone opening a new Shopify shop, we recommend looking at other shops. It is not forbidden to get inspiration. Keeping an eye on the competition is essential. Also, a risk is always an investment, which we recommend. Normal CRO measures can also lead to a deterioration in conversion.
Let’s take a look on the FMCG sector: there are only a few things here that we implement in a big way. Here, customers want functions that are not available elsewhere. Gift selection in the cart/drawer, coupons that can be copied, other gimmicks on the website.
Let’s take boring street signs, they have to be technical. Payment icons. USP bullet points. Customers are less interested in gimmicks.
First and foremost, the question must be asked: ‘Do I want to buy from my shop myself? If I answer this with yes, then the first step has been taken. If there are only minimal concerns, the website is not yet good enough.
