Hello all, I’m still trying to set up ads for my new store. It’s been a complete disaster as it seems FB speaks a foreign language when it comes to ads as well as employs 15000 levels of complexity. I am actually in a place where all the events are green now. Before I was stuck on verifying domains and understanding how the hell the events even work with the new IOS 14 update.
Now I seem stuck again. The events page views, purchase, etc, using the conversion API and verified domains, seem to be part of the standard events.
- Does this mean the FB pixel was automatically placed in every one of those applicable pages ie “thank you” page for Purchases and “checkout” for Initiate Checkout.
It’s very important that I make this clear so I’ll say it again. Is the pixel on the thank you page already as part of the “standard events” or do i have to use the event tool to track it myself?
The Purchase event in my Events manager says i have two sources, the pixel and the url. Am I supposed to delete the url source and let the pixel do its thing or leave the url?
- If I’m supposed to delete the url source or the Purchase event, is that so for all of them??
Thanks to everyone in advance. I am honestly still stunned at how convoluted this was. I used FB ads up to 2yrs ago and it was like ABCs compared to this new version.
