Everytime I feel like I am ready to launch my website, I come across something new. My online store sells physical product and registered in Canada. I have ticked 'collect tax ’ in all the countries but now seeing all the complication, thinking of narrowing down to few. My target now is Canada & US. While going through multiple blogs, videos about tax obligation while selling to US I have come across with the information that I need to have tax id. I want to launch my website by the end of this month. I am wondering if anyone could tell me what am I supposed to do in this case. Am I supposed to file for tax ID before my sales start, if yes how and if not required please let me know this would be great help.
