I understand that you want to open a US Shopify Payments account for your business. This can be something our team will consider, but it does require a range of information to be eligible.
I also want to clarify that you can sell to the USA from Turkey without a Shopify Payments account. You just need a payment gateway that accepts major credit cards or widely used transaction methods like PayPal.
In order to use Shopify Payments US, a business needs to have physical operations on US soil. Do you have a US office, a US retail location, or any rented or owned warehouse space in the US? Would you be able to provide proof of this physical presence if the review team requested it?
If yes, you would also need to be able to provide this documentation as well:
- Government issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, etc)
- Valid tax registration documents
- Valid local business registration documents
- Proof of your physical presence in the USA (rental agreement, proof of shipping, etc)
- A USD currency checking account from a physical bank in the USA
This identification request is non-negotiable, so it would all need to be available. Submitting your business for a review is also not guaranteed to grant access to Shopify Payments. All businesses are considered on a case by case basis.
