Do I need to adjust settings for SMS delivery updates?

Does anyone know if I utilize a SMS marketing app to send out delivery updates to my customers do I need to go into my shopify settings and change anything?

Unfortunately Shopify removed it’s built in SMS capabilities recently.

You could install a third party apps for SMS updates for delivery.

We could also help you with the same, with Airnote you could setup automated SMS and WhatsApp notifications for Order and Shipping updates.

If you’re using an SMS marketing app, it will handle delivery updates on its own once it’s properly integrated with your store. Just make sure:

  • Customers are entering their phone number at checkout

  • You’re collecting proper consent (opt-in)

  • The app is connected to order and shipping events

Once these are set up, the app can automatically send delivery updates without requiring changes in Shopify settings.
