Do we need to add Extension Directory in github?

Hello All,

I am planning to deploy my App to my server. Before deploying an app to the server, I want to ask if we have to add an Extension directory to GitHub. I have created the theme app extension for UI block.

As we know Shopify hosts extensions. So How we deploy the app without extension to the server.

Please note that I am using remix for the app template.
