Do you set daily, weekly, or monthly goals? What works best for you?

Great question! I’ve found a combination approach works best:**

Monthly goals for the big picture - revenue targets, new product launches, or major marketing campaigns. These keep me focused on what really moves the needle.

Weekly goals for tactical execution - like “launch 3 new product listings,” “send 2 email campaigns,” or “reach out to 5 potential influencers.” Weekly feels manageable but still pushes progress.

Daily goals for the small wins that add up - responding to customer inquiries within 2 hours, posting on social media, or analyzing yesterday’s traffic data.

The key is making sure they all connect - my daily actions should roll up to weekly wins, which drive toward monthly targets.

What’s worked really well: I write down 3 priorities each morning and celebrate when I hit them. Some days it’s “optimize 5 product descriptions,” other days it’s “finalize Q4 marketing strategy.” Mixing the tactical with strategic keeps momentum going.

Pro tip: I review weekly on Fridays and adjust if needed. Sometimes a social media algorithm change or supply issue means pivoting those weekly goals to stay on track for the monthly target.

What timeframe do you find hardest to stick to? I used to struggle with monthly goals feeling too distant, but breaking them down made all the difference.

Yes. Nothing works, I’m chronically lazy :joy:

Jk, just the thought of going back to being poor motivated me enough.

I usually set monthly goals to see if the store is running normally and when the goal achieves, we will celebrate together like having dinner or ice creams together.

Usually, I only set goals for the next day. There’s a saying: “Never trust the version of yourself from tomorrow.” Tonight, you might feel highly motivated to work out in the morning, but tomorrow, you’ll probably feel lazy. So, the best thing is to prepare for tomorrow tonight.

You can’t go wrong with taking break in between goals to pause, recharge, and restart!

A week vacation after 6 months is all I need to get a reset.

I set a daily goal and that works best for me.
