Does production governance actually make Shopify operations faster?

Looking for up to 5 Shopify agencies for a 6-week operations pilot

I’m building a governance system for Shopify production changes and I’m looking for up to 5 agencies willing to test whether it creates measurable operational value under real workload.

Good fit would be an agency managing:

  • 10+ Shopify client stores

  • 3+ people involved in store/catalog operations

  • roughly 500+ production changes during the pilot period

The pilot lasts 6 weeks:

Weeks 1–2: measure the current workflow as it works today.
Weeks 3–6: run comparable real workload through governed review, approval, execution and verification.

I want to measure four things:

TIME — proposal to production
REWORK — corrections and repeated work
CAPACITY — workload the same team can process
AUTHORITY — whether it is clear and enforceable who can approve and execute each change

The question I’m trying to answer is fairly simple:

Does adding governance to Shopify production changes save measurable time and rework while increasing team capacity and making production authority explicit?

I’m not looking for a testimonial. I’m looking for agencies willing to measure this properly against their existing process.

Happy to discuss the methodology here in the thread.
