Does uploading tracking numbers improve trust with PayPal?

Hi! Few background points before I ask my question. I have a PayPal business account. I haven’t launched my business. I have added just less the 50 bucks to my account, to prepare for my first few orders.

My dropshipping, shipping times are estimated 8-16 days. However, with PayPal, the funds will say pending for up to 7 days! Now shipping turns into almost a week delay.

I don’t use PayPal as a way to pay for orders on my store. I did this so I can avoid that new payment processor rule where if you make over 600$ using it, you will be taxed-something like that.

I only use Paypal as a way to move money from my bank account–>paypal balance–>supplier.

If you upload order tracking numbers to PayPal, I have heard that PayPal will eventually trust you more and therefore lower the payment pending time.

However, since I don’t have paypal as a way to pay on more store, just as a way to move money on the backend, do I need to upload tracking numbers to paypal?

Personally, you still should add your tracking number to Paypal because that way, Paypal can recognise your selling pattern and trust your business’s income is real. You can discover popular cases that Paypal holds money as below:
PayPal puts money on hold to ensure the platform is safe for buyers and sellers.

  • Your PayPal money might be on hold if you’re a new seller or your account has been inactive. - High number of Disputes

  • Your selling pattern is unusual or changed -

You are selling high-risk items

  • The payment you received is unusual for your typical selling pattern.

  • PayPal found an unusual change in the selling price for a particular transaction.

You can use a tool to help you add a tracking number so you don’t need to worry about this task and reduce your workload. Highly recommend this free tool, no money is needed.
