Does WHCC use uploaded Shopify product images for printing?

There are no stupid questions… but this one might come close!

I’m setting up a Shopify store, a photography gallery, with a WHCC fulfillment integration. Since the images are literally the product – is the product image I upload the actual file WHCC will use to print?

If so, I’m bumping up against the Shopify 20MP per pic upload limit.

If not, can I use a low-res product image and provide a high-res (20+MP) file for printing?

Help.

Hi @stvrsnbrgr ,

Looks like their (WHCC) API accepts a URL when setting up an order request.

Since I’m not able to find a WHCC app on apps.Shopify.com assuming this was a custom integration you did?

Would need more info to answer your question…

Thanks Sam. Not a custom integration. I guess it’s new; not yet available in Shopify apps. But I found it while checking out WHCC:

Tbh, I’m a little lost. Waiting for Shopify support to come back from the holiday weekend. Happy new year.

Hi @stvrsnbrgr ,

Happy New Year to you as well.

My best advice would be to connect a product then use their editor within the Shopify app. Likelihood is that their app uses their API just the same, so I would expect the first media upload on the Shopify product description to be used when ordering.

Thanks for sharing always nice to learn new integrations.

Hello, Im just seeing your question and I have the same exact situation. How did you resolve this? Did you upload to Shopify or Higher res files to WHCC?
