Okay, I am unable to connect my domain to my Shopify store. It says my domain is connected to another store and I DON’T HAVE A CLUE WHAT STORE NOR WHERE! I original got my domain from google, then Shopify and I let it expire and purchased it again through Shopify I believe in April. I’ve been trying to get this resolved FOR MONTHS with absolutely NO help from customer service! Does any one know how I search to see where my domain is and release it? I have been very patient however, my patients is wearing a little thin!

I’d love to help you out with your domain! I understand why the error would be jarring as you own the domain you purchased. While that doesn’t seem to make sense, this isn’t completely strange and it’s something that happens quite often. Essentially, because your domain expired at one point, it became available for purchase. During that time, somebody else bought the domain and connected it to their own store. Our support team should be able to disconnect it from the store your domain is currently connected to, as long as you can provide proof that you own the domain.
