Hello, when I first started my free trial, I also purchased a domain name as well. Unfortunately my account was mistakenly terminated and now it’s opened again. I checked on my domain name and it said the purchase was fully refunded, does that mean I need to purchase a new one for my store? And what happened with the original one that I purchased? Thank you. Is the Domain Available Now? You can check its availability by searching for it on:
- Shopify’s domain purchase section
- Any third-party registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.)
If it’s still available, you’ll need to purchase it again.
When Shopify refunded your domain purchase, it typically means they did not complete the registration process or they canceled it upon account termination. If this happened, the domain is likely available for purchase again.
If for some reason, you do not find the domain available for purchase, we will suggest you to reach out to Shopify support for further guidance.
