I transferred my domain to shopify from squarespace. It looks like it transferred and works but I never received an email to verify my email within 15 days. My email address is correct. When I click the resend button a ‘system error’ banner pops up. I’ve tried doing this in different browsers but still get the same error message. How do I get this fixed? I’ve contacted support and they said it might already be verified but could take time to show up on my account. Has anyone else had this issue? Did you wait it out and it resolved itself?

It’s possible that the verification email was sent but was marked as spam or did not reach your inbox. You can try checking your spam folder or searching your email inbox for an email from Shopify.
Otherwise, have you tried to resend the email via Google Chrome using your data as opposed to wifi? This way we can troubleshoot whether the system error is server related or a local network issue.

This will allow your business to appear more professional, which will then strengthen your brand’s trust with prospective customers. While Shopify doesn’t currently offer email hosting natively on our platform, if you’re just starting out, a popular choice to help with setting up your custom email address is Zoho Mail. Otherwise, Google Workspace is also a commonly used provider for hosting your custom email.

It’s not in spam/junk folder- I know to look there first.
Just tried it using my data and not WiFi and it’s giving me the same system error.
I already have a custom domain email and have it set up already with Google workspace. The email I want it sent to is my regular gmail because from what Ive experienced custom domain emails can go down for a bit when transfer if domains.
Right now, I’d like to just like to know how I can verify my email so I can finish registering my domain. Thanks!
