Don’t have a sell, both my stores are 0 orders

Topic summary

Two Shopify stores (pet supplies and LED gifts) report zero orders despite organic promotion, TikTok ads, and creating social media pages. The LED store link was shared for review.

Key advice offered:

  • Use a mix of organic SEO (search engine optimization) and paid ads (Facebook, Google) to overcome slow organic growth in competitive niches.
  • Strengthen social media by consistent, engaging content and optimize profiles for conversions, focusing on platforms where the target audience is most active.
  • Improve website conversion fundamentals: design/UX, product descriptions, and clear CTAs (calls to action); audit for bottlenecks that may block purchases.

Context provided: the advisor noted SEO requires patience, citing a client example with 58 keywords ranking on page one (pet food niche in India), implying results are possible but not immediate.

Current status and outcomes:

  • No concrete actions or decisions reported yet; the store owner acknowledged and thanked for the guidance.
  • Discussion remains open with unresolved questions on specific site or campaign optimizations that could drive first sales.

Hi everyone,

I have two stores on shopify. I opened the first one two months ago in the pet supplies niche. Promoted through an organic way. Then I advertised in tiktok.

There were no orders and I decided that this niche was oversaturated and created a second sote with LED gifts. It’s the same with the second store..

I created pages everywhere on the social media.. I watched a bunch of tutorial videos with recommendations and tips. Everyone is selling so easily and quickly.

What am I doing wrong? What I imagine on sales and what actually is happening are totally different. Please help me and advise.

Hello @PollyClark

I am not sure if you are doing Organic SEO on your own or hired any SEO agency for the same. Organic SEO needs patience. We are also working for one of our clients who has a pet food supply in India and we can bring almost 58 keywords on the first page already.

  • Organic vs. Paid Marketing: While organic reach is valuable, relying solely on it in competitive niches might be slow. Consider allocating some budget for targeted paid advertising (e.g., Facebook Ads, Google Ads) to reach a wider audience.
  • Social Media Presence: Simply creating pages isn’t enough. You need to actively engage with your audience, post engaging content regularly, and optimize your profiles for conversions. Analyze which platforms best resonate with your target audience and focus your efforts there.
  • Website Optimization: Your website’s look and feel, user experience, product descriptions, and call to actions all play a role in conversions. Analyze your website to identify potential bottlenecks and optimize for conversion.
