We have an online grocery store. We have over 100 items and sometimes we have out of stock products. I want to still keep the out of stock products on the page because people can give preorder but some customers don’t want to see out of stock products. Is there a way or an app to show or don’t show out of stock products on the site

If your theme does not have this feature in default, this can be done with some custom coding in your theme, and it’s a quick task for a Shopify developer. They can add a toggle or filter so customers can choose to show or hide out-of-stock items. You’d just need to give the developer access to your store for them to set it up.

If you want to hide them from the home or collection pages, the best option is to set up custom collections linked to those pages.
IMO, out-of-stock products are a great opportunity to set up ways to earn more revenue in the future. You already know that you can sell them as preorders, and another thing you can also do is set a “Notify me” button to add customers to a waitlist. Then, you can automatically notify them when you restock via email/SMS and see orders come in to Admin!
