DoorDash Order Info Pushed to Shopify

Topic summary

A user is seeking a solution to sync DoorDash order data (customer names and order details) into their Shopify account, which then feeds into OnFleet for delivery management.

Current Challenge:

  • Multiple apps exist to push Shopify orders to DoorDash, but not the reverse direction
  • AppConnect by ConstaCloud built the needed API workflow, but it was never approved by Shopify and remains unavailable

Suggested Solutions:

  1. Custom Development: Hire a developer to create a custom API integration between DoorDash and Shopify
  2. Zapier Automation: Use Zapier’s webhook functionality (requires premium subscription) to automate the data transfer
    • Zapier can collect order information from DoorDash and send it to Shopify
    • A link to an OrderOut-to-Google Sheets integration was shared as a reference example

Recommendation: Contact Zapier representatives to confirm feasibility and potentially get assistance with setup.

The discussion remains open with no confirmed working solution implemented yet.

Hi there.

We are looking for an API or integration to get DoorDash order info imported/synced into our Shopify account. For example, a customer will place an order on DoorDash and their name + order details will show in Shopify. We’re then pushing Shopify data out to OnFleet for delivery management. We have found multiple softwares and apps that can push Shopify orders out to DoorDash, but not the other way around. We found AppConnect by ConstaCloud that had the exact workflow we’re trying to accomplish, but when we spoke with them, they had the API built but Shopify never approved it so it’s not available yet (or ever). Does anyone else know of something out there that can accomplish this?

The only 2 options I can think of is hiring a dev to create a custom API for this, or using something like Zapier and utilizing webhooks to automate the process of sending orders to Shopify. Both solutions utilize the API from Shopify and DoorDash. I believe to use webhooks on Zapier you need to pay for their premium service but this is the most user friendly (non dev) option. I would talk to a Zapier rep to make sure this solution would work for you.

I found this: https://zapier.com/apps/google-sheets/integrations/orderout/776117/create-google-sheets-rows-for-new-orderout-orders

I already know that Zapier can also send information to Shopify. So I figure if it can collect order information from DoorDash and also send order information to Shopify, you could combine these triggers to do what you need. Your best bet is talking to someone from Zapier to see what solutions they have. They may very well even be able to help you get that all set up.
