Hello, i run this Shopify store https://www.black.co.uk/ and I’ve been stuck on $750k for the last three 3 years. I’m looking for merchants who have had a similar experience and manage to increase their ceiling for advice. Thanks, Toby Debates > Discusión general
@Toby_Logue It’s hard to advise on how to scale 2x without knowing what you already have in place. Maybe share what is working and what is not in private if you prefer so that we can advise on untapped growth opportunities for BLACK. The store looks relaly good, but what are your current marketing startegies (Emails, PPC, Social, etc), abandoned cart flows, top performing products, upselling/crosselling, referral program, unboxing experience, etc. Have you looked into LIVESTREAM selling? You don’t need a big budget or very expensive equipment to do this. More ideas available

Thanks for getting in touch.
Our current sales and marketing mix as a percentage of total sales is as follows:
-
Paid Social - 39% of total online sales
-
Email (klaviyo) - 30% of total online sales
-
Paid Search - 21% of total online sales
-
Affiliates/PR/Earned Media - 10% of total online sales
Our best selling products are silk and cashmere scarves - Cashmere & Silk Wraps – Black.co.uk
We use Aftersell by Rokt for our post purchase upsells.
The main issue I have is that this has been our main marketing mix for the last 4 years and despite a bigger email list and bigger ad budget the growth as been flat
Thanks for your help in advance
Hi @Toby_Logue
This will not double your sales for sure, and you may think I am just advertising our app. I checked your site and see you did a lot of good work, a lot of right content, and sections. Great job on that.
But one thing is really sticking out to me, and that is the sales promo section. To me, that takes too much space, pushes important content down but also can distract customers. Check these 2 screenshots, from browsers latop an mobile view:
It takes half a screen, and maybe it does work and does move customers to the sales page with that shop now, but to me, it is very distracting. So if you have time, check our app Atomato: Header notifications Atomato AI Notification Alerts - Onsite alerts through a notification feed, not popups | Shopify App Store. There is a free trial, but also if you want, we can set up a call to go over some features.
Also, you may try, for the product info section, some A/B testing, to move review block, from before price, to after ADd to cart and then place 3 most important features of product and/or 3 icon/text for customer reasssurance. Just an idea and see how it goes.
Good luck with going to $1.5m
Hi @Toby_Logue
The ceiling is commonly hit at your scale. It usually offers saturation or offers a ceiling, not traffic. The merchants I’ve seen break through did one of three things: they increased average order value, they added a higher ticket or repeat purchase product, or they found a new acquisition channel with a differentiated angle, not just throwing more spend.
