We no longer have the drop down menu for selecting the package to use for shipping. Shopify told me today that it is no longer there, only default and suggestion. Shopify has changed this option so you now type in the package name you want and it displays the package…provided you have them set up in your settings AND set up in the products. This is a huge problem for us. We have the packages saved in our settings but not having the pull down menu options to select from is a MAJOR issue for us. We have hundreds of parts, belts, paper bags, machines requiring various ways to ship in boxes and envelopes. Also, sometimes it’s cheaper to use one type of package over another based on where the package is going. We no longer can review what price works best for us and the customer. I understand we can add a package to each of our products. Seriously? Go thru each one and do that??? Even after doing that, we won’t use the same box for belts and another for a machine going to the same place. So now the customer will pay more or maybe less than needed. We are a mom and pop and assigning a package to products is labor intensive. Also, we re-use boxes to help with shipping so a customer may not need the size we set up for that product. Why did this package drop down menu go away?
