Dual Inventory feed with a need to match and sync identical products

Hi

We are looking to run two inventory feeds into our shopify store - our own inventory and stock level feed via Lightspeed, and then a secondary live feed from the Wholesaler distributors we stock products for.

Is this possible and how can we match, sync and combine the two feeds for a single product?

Thanks for being part of the Community, and great question! I love that.

What you’re looking for is feasible, but you’d have to register 2 different warehouses in your Shopify store and sync each one with the feed. In the end, you will have Product A with Stock X (from Lightspeed) and Stock Y (from Wholesaler). The total inventory will be Stock X + Y.

Recommendations:

  • Make sure you use the same SKU in both feeds or the same Shopify URL so that during the import the product can be recognized. This will guarantee flawless sync between the feed and Shopify.
  • Make sure you set up order routings so the product can be shipped from the same warehouse if necessary.
