A few weeks ago i noticed that when i duplicate product and goto highlight the text if i highlight past the edge of the text, the entire tab closes. At first i thought it was my computer but later realized it only happened in shopify. I don’t understand why they would do this but its pretty annoying since i now have to go slower just to make sure i dont accidently close the tab.
To top it off they add another UI update a day or two ago to hide the search bar in order and products tab to the top right. WHY? Seriously, why are you trying to mess with us and move things and just overall makes things work worst then before.
I noticed this too, the dragging outside the modal is easy to do and deeply annoying when it closes. I doubt there will be any update to “fix” this behaviour but it’s clearly a dev fix that doesn’t actually improve the admin element of duplicating products
Yeah, I agree that I DID notice this. That it is based on “MOUSE RELEASE”. For some reason they sloppily just did all mouse actions in accepting a modal close.
It’s a simple fix. Just make it so you can’t close the modal window on mouse release, just mouse-down or mouse click on the outside of the modal.
It wasn’t like this before, this was introduced at some point later on and it’s an annoyance for sure.
Great product, sloppy changes without good UX testing causes these little negations and problems. They just need to iron this out.
absolute disaster UI redesign. where do they get these ideas? who is approving this? adding an additional step to using a basic feature… nothing short of a horrible idea and disaster.
I guess since the search feature works so bad, they need to hide it
