Dynamic checkout buttons causing page load to hang...maybe

I have a potential issue with my store, in particular with Dynamic Checkout Buttons

What i see happening is that with Safari and iPhone only (doesn’t happen in any other circumstance), the product page does not load properly. It pauses for loading, certain parts of the page does not load - or rather it takes 3 or 4 minutes to load.

I have tracked the problem down to the Dynamic Checkout Buttons, because when I disable them, all problems go away. I have pulled the browser logs off my phone and I can see the following happening:

[Error] Failed to load resource: cannot parse response (remembered, line 0)
www.paypal.com/checkoutnow/remembered?callback=shopifypaypalisrememberedcallback

So a call is made to paypal by the Dynamic Checkout buttons, which hangs. When it eventually times out, the page load continues.

I have observed the following:

  1. The problem is intermittent.
  2. The problems disappears when I go to a new “private browsing tab”.
  3. My wife’s phone, friends phone does not show the problem.

So it could be something unique to my phone, but I’d rather get an opinion about it incase there is a wider problem with Dynamic Checkout buttons and PayPal. Has anyone seen this, or have any idea how to debug further??
