Flex 2.0 - Out of the sandbox
Hello.
For my store, I’d like one product template with two page references (links) within the product information section. These links would lead to separate information pages on the product producer or product collection. Both pages would be specific to that product.
I have 650+ products already entered. So I would like a solution that can be bulk edited. Establishing two links in each product description, one at a time, seems much too cumbersome and lengthy a progress if the description field cannot be bulk edited quickly.
I was hoping to create two product Metafields, each with a reference to a page identified by the respective values in those fields. I would bulk edit each of these two fields, plugging in (and duplicating) the product producer name or collection name (and page references for each) as appropriate. The Metafields would appear on product template, within the product information section.
I thought the Metafield solution above would work. However, placing a Metafield into a text field within the product information section seems not allow the insertion of a Metafield that is a reference to another page. Only simple text Metafields are permitted.
