Ecom Zuliee

Topic summary

A Shopify store owner with no sales received an unsolicited offer from someone called “Ecom Zuliee” claiming to fix SEO issues preventing Google visibility for approximately $200. The individual is now requesting payment via direct bank transfer (routing and account number).

Red flags identified:

  • Unsolicited outreach
  • Request for direct bank transfer instead of secure payment methods
  • Pattern consistent with common e-commerce scams

Recommended action:

  • Immediately remove the person from collaborator access
  • Use legitimate freelance platforms (like Upwork) with escrow payment protection
  • Avoid direct bank transfers to unverified service providers

The consensus is this appears to be a scam rather than legitimate assistance. The store owner should prioritize securing their account and seeking help through verified channels with payment protection.

I didn’t make any sales at all in the months since I opened my shop www.diegovonbellini.com and only made one sale from someone I know. Someone named Ecom Zuliee reached out and seemed like a legitimate person that helps Shopify sellers with problems their site is having. I agreed to pay about close to $200 to fix error codes in my site that is making it so people can’t find me on Google. I’ve worked hard making music videos with my products in it, social media, my YouTube channel Diegovonbellini has a lot of my music videos I thought was ahead of its time. I’m a disabled father of 5 with a disabled wife so I was hoping to do well with Shopify and be able to stay at home taking care of my children.

I’ve gone along for a while but now the person is asking me to send money directly to their routing and account number.

How do I lock this person out of collaborator mode? Is it a legitimate person because if it is, I would really appreciate the help. I’m desperate at this point.

Hey there Diego @Diegovonbellini There are too many obvious red flags with this person’s mode of operation. Kick them out of collaboration mode immediately (it’s great that you didn’t even give them main access to the store) and then hire someone off a platform like Upwork where there is a middle man payment system in place to ensure that no scams can be run against you and funds would not be dispersed with until a good job is done and certified.
