Ecommerce Tracking in GA - Everything Works BUT Transactions. Code in Header

Hello,

From my research this seems to be a common issue (which is nut whens you consider one of the biggest e-commerce platforms in the world does not play with the biggest analytics platform in the world).

I receive data fine into my GA but I receive no e-commerce data. I read a couple of posts that the tag needs to be removed from the Shopify headings and added direct to the header. I have completed this (over a week ago now) but I am still not seeing any data?

If someone could help or aid this would be greatly appreciated. Perhaps even a sticky post on this may help due to all the questions about it?

Thank you

Hello @sophiecquk ,

I’m Gina - Product Manager at flareAI. flareAI has helped Shopify stores generate $5+ million in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

If it’s helpful to you, please let me know by giving it a like or marking it as a solution.

Have you also added the GA tracking code to the order confirmation page? Tracking codes are typically used on the order status page.

For doing this go to your theme Settings > Checkout. Under Order Status Page > Additional Scripts section > Paste your tracking code and Save.

For best results, count conversions only when customers complete transactions with your store. If a customer revisits or reloads the conversion page, then their session might count as more than one conversion.

Refer to this link for more information.

I would suggest you to try flareAI. You will get organic or free conversions only if your products are found on Google. We created flareAI to grow your store on Google, Bing and other major sales channels. As a partner, flareAI will submit your products to the free sales channels on a daily basis. Once your product is found on the channel, you don’t need to do a thing. Customers will keep finding your product day after day. flareAI will help to scale your site sustainably at NO Agency fees, NO Pay-per-click, NO paid marketplaces.
