Edit Code to delete author information on blog posts - Dawn theme

Hi!

I am working on improving SEO for my store. I have a few technical issues that I need a little direction in solving. I do not mean to be rude but I kindly ask that you do not send me emails trying to sell me your services to improve my store. I want to learn how to do this myself.

So, having said this, is this the code that I need to edit to delete the author name on Blog Posts?

“type”: “checkbox”,
“id”: “show_author”,
“default”: false,
“label”: “t:sections.featured-blog.settings.show_author.label”

If so, do I delete de “id”:“show author” line?

Please help me.

Thank you for reaching out here.

You could achieve this without editing code and just customizing your theme setting.

  • Going to Theme > Customize.
  • In the sidebar menu, scroll down to the Blog posts section, deselect the Show author box
  • Click Save.

Reduce number of used CSS files

Reduce the number of used JavaScript files.

Where can I find these files and how do I reduce them?
