I sell a both items in stock, and items out of stock.
I would like to use the inventory status on the Colorblock-theme to tell the customer that the product is either in stock, or a order on demand-product, or completely unavailable.
How do I have this inventory status to act that way?
On the items I have on sale with “continue selling when out of stock” it still appears as in stock when it’s not.
I would like the light to be yellow in those cases, and say something like “order item”.

By default, Shopify already has the function to display notifications when a product is unavailable. As you can see in the photo below, that’s the difference between in-stock and out-of-stock products:
And when you select “continue selling when out of stock”, the products will continue to be sold even when out of stock, so they will not show the out-of-stock status. If you want them to appear out of stock, disable this function.
