Hi, I am having trouble trying to edit the order status page. I want to get rid of the orders, profile, and go to store button. Is that something I am able to get rid of or is it fixed in place? Also the domain is https://shopify.com/58997801034/account/orders/xxxxxxxxxxx which I want change to my custom domain. How do I do that?
Topic summary
Goal: remove the Orders, Profile, and Go to Store buttons on the order status page, and change the URL from a shopify.com/account/orders path to a custom domain.
Progress/Findings:
- Not editable from Online Store > Customize.
- An attempt to modify templates/customers/order.liquid via Edit Code seemed promising but was later confirmed not to be the correct template for the order status page.
- A Shopify help article on order status page customization was shared but described as vague.
Notes/Context:
- There appears to be confusion between the “order status page” (post-checkout tracking page) and the “customer account orders” page (templates/customers/order.liquid). These are distinct surfaces.
- A screenshot was provided to illustrate the UI elements in question.
Actions/Next Steps:
- Contacting Shopify Support to clarify which template or method controls those elements and how (or if) they can be hidden.
Status: Unresolved. Key open questions include whether those specific buttons can be removed on the order status page and how to route the page to a custom domain.
Hi Jimmy, were you able to move forward with this?
I am also trying to modify this page, but it’s not editable from the “Customize” Online Store.
On “Edit Code” I was able to find the file templates/customers/order.liquid that seems to be the one that will render this page. I haven’t been able to identify what to change, but I’ll get there. I just wanted to share my progress so far
I found this dev doc, I don’t know if it’s of any help as it is kind of vague

Let me know how are you going
Cecilia
I apologise, that’s not the page. I am trying to contact Support now, as I don’t know how to go on from here ![]()
