Hello everyone, I’m trying to edit the tracking number for an order that has a return request on it. I don’t want to decline or approve the request, but I do want to to edit the tracking number but can’t seem to find the three dots next to order details where the edit tracking option used to be:
Can someone please share how to edit the tracking number in this situation? Thanks!

It looks like Shopify hides the standard “edit tracking” option when an order is in a return-requested state.
Right now, the only way to change a tracking number in this situation is to either:
Process or decline the return request first, once the return status changes, the normal “edit tracking” option should reappear in the fulfilment details.
Add a new fulfilment (with the updated tracking) if it’s a partial shipment scenario.
Contact Shopify Support, they can sometimes make the change on the backend without you having to approve/decline the return.

Looks like Shopify hides the Edit tracking button when there’s a return request.
You can try:
Scrolling to the Fulfilled section to see if an Update link shows next to the tracking number.
Temporarily marking the item as unfulfilled, then re-fulfilling it with the correct tracking.
If those don’t work, support can update it for you.
